New! Wood Flooring

If you’re looking to enhance the beauty, luxury and ease of maintenance of your floors, then look no further than our new engineered wood and luxury vinyl plank flooring collection. Now available at City Tile, you can find both engineered wood and luxury vinyl plank designs to suit your home’s needs. Let’s explore and compare these two types of flooring.

ENGINEERED WOOD

Engineered hardwood is known for its authenticity, timelessness and durability. City Tile has brought in the best of European Oak in 7.5” X 75” and 9.5” X 75” planks. The 7.5” offers a 3mm wear layer and is available in five colours, while the 9.5” offers a 4mm wear layer and comes in four colours. All the European Oak has been UV oiled which offers a much needed layer of protection to the surface of the floor.

LUXURY VINYL PLANK FLOORING

Luxury vinyl plank flooring is made up of layers which help to provide durability to the product. Nowadays, vinyl plank flooring looks so real that it can sometimes be hard to tell the difference between it and the real thing. As a slightly more cost effective choice, vinyl plank helps to reduce the impact of heavy objects by creating a cushion effect via the pressed layers of material. This product has become very popular in high traffic areas such as in offices, malls and buildings. Both a glue-down or click system is available in store now and comes in a variety of styles, colours and thicknesses.

BENEFITS

    • Easy to Clean – with just a simple broom or light vacuum daily cleaning couldn’t be easier. If there are stains, simply wipe away with a damp cloth.
    • Last Longer – unlike other flooring which may need touch-ups, high quality oak flooring only gets better with time and vinyl’s durable top layer keeps it looking strong for years to come.
    • More Hygienic – as carpet tends to attract dust and other air borne particles, wood flooring cuts down on these little critters from residing in your home longer than they need, a simple sweep of the broom or Swiffer and they’re gone.
    • Resistant to Fungus – Oak flooring is remarkably resistant to fungus and insect attacks, one of nature’s secret advantages. No expensive treatments are necessary. Although this feature is only a benefit with the true Oak product, due to the hygienic and easy cleaning of even the vinyl variety, you’ll also notice an improvement in your home.
