Meet Christina Staniscia. Christina has been a loyal of City Tile for the past fourteen years. “Basically, a year after they opened I started working here fulltime,” Christina said. She is one of many in the Staniscia family working at City Tile; it’s truly a family business.
Christina is the general manager of the Nanaimo store and handles the administrative end of the business. As well as administrative duties, Christina does all of the bookkeeping with her father, and owner, Dominic Staniscia. She manages the bookkeeping for the neighboring business venture, City Mini Storage.
Other than a positive attitude, Christina brings a young-blood persona to the business which helps the business evolve and grow along with the rest of the world.
What has Christina gained from working at City Tile for nearly a decade and a half?
“Relationships with a lot of different people,” Christina said. “Meeting people and being apart of something that I think is great.”
Between managing the books of both businesses and being GM for City Tile, on Christina’s days off she enjoys the gift of solitude. Both businesses can cause her to work a six-day work week, so days off are spent mostly recuperating.
Next time you’re in City Tile’s Nanaimo location, and you see Christina, don’t shy away from saying hello.
